[Drama Info] Madame Antoine/Madam Angteuwan/마담 앙트완

Let's know about the drama:
              Language: Korean
       No of Episodes: Unknown…
   Genre: Psychological, Romance

The Characters:

Han YeSeul  As Ko Hye-Rim

Sung Joon As Choi Soo-Hyun

Jinwoon As Choi Seung-Chan

Lee Joo-Hyung As Won Ji-Ho

Hwang Seung-Eon As Ko Yoo-Rim

Plot:
Ko Hye-Rim (Han Ye-Seul) is a famous fortune-teller. She is known as "Madame Antoine" and insists that she is spiritually connected to Marie Antoinette, but that part is a lie. She is able to see through people's stories due to her intelligence and keen sense. She dreams of having love in a romantic film.
Ko Hye-Rim then takes part in a psychological test project conducted by psychotherapist Choi Soo-Hyun (Sung Joon). His goal is to prove that true love does not exist. Coincidentally, the name for his psychological treatment center is Madame Antoine.
My Initial Thoughts:
I was very skeptical about this drama. And to be very honest it did not catch my attention. But I had absolutely nothing to watch and I was like "why not give it a try". So I'm currently watching it and will be giving review/recap/pointer recaps episode-wise very soon.

The plot is of a psychological and romantic background, which I'm not very fond of, if I'm being honest (I watched It's Okay It's Love after an entire year after it was aired). But this drama feels a little less serious than It's Okay It's Love (not saying that it isn't entirely).

Both the lead actors are great actors in my mind. Sung Joon's acting, it's like a hit or a miss for me. It was a miss for me in Discovery of Romance. Maybe this drama would be a hit for me.

I am also very excited about the interaction of Han Ye-Seul and Sung Joon as their characters are very much opposite, one prefers common sense and the other prefers reasoning.

What I'm even more excited about is the Second Lead "Couple". Yes. Second Lead Couple. Not talking about the Second Lead.
It the Second Lead "Couple", who have a separate love story going on in the drama and are somehow connected with the Main Lead Couple.
I think/hope/pray that it's going to be Lee Joo-Hyung and Hwang Seung-Eun’s characters as the second lead couple. They will look cute together. Absolutely, I can definitely see them together in the drama.

The first and second episodes look promising.

So watch out for my Review/Recap/Pointer Recap.

Yay I'm Back!!

Well not the Home part. But I'm back doing reviews about anything related to Korean/Asian things I know. Yayyy!

To give an excuse as to why I did not post anything,
a) My brother banned me from using the home PC.
b) My father's Laptop stopped working so he had to use mine.

That all for excuses.

The main reason was and is, is that I'm super lazy when it comes to typing, especially if there is no keyboard. So yeah......

Moving on.

The Agenda for the Blog :

I'm probably going to list out all the Asian dramas and movies that I have ever watched ( mostly for my reference cause the list is just too long now, like seriously loooooonnnnggg and its easy to find it on a computer. see definitely lazy).
I'm also thinking of changing my review style. I dont know how it will change so lets see.

Well then I'll be back with a review very soon.

Till that time

YAYYY! I'm back!!
or more correctly

YAYYY!! My Laptop is back!

Drama Review: The Reason I Can't Find My Love (Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu)

Lets know about the drama:

  •  Language: Japanese
  • No of Episodes: 10
  • Genre: Romantic Comedy

The Characters:

(From Left to Right)
  • Yuko Oshima (Former AKB48 member) as Mako Hanzawa
  • Karina Nose as Emi Fujii
  • Yuriko Yoshitaka as Saki Ogura
  • Izumi Inamori as Misuzu Shiraishi
and others

Plot:

The Reason I Can't Find My Love" follows the lives of three women who have difficulties in dating and finding love. They all went to the same high-school and now begin to live under the same roof by chance....

My Thoughts:

I absolutely love this drama. Its my type of drama. Its fun yet deals with the main content of the drama with real depth. Its a romantic comedy, which automatically means its in my favorite Japanese drama list.

Saki-Emi-Mako
The most interesting part of this drama was that the characters are very relate-able.
Each character is shown dealing with their own struggles in life and love.
Mako - Afraid of falling in love with someone; Emi - Finds love bothersome; Saki - Hasn't found true love; Misuzu- Has decided not to be tied down in her professional life due to love/marriage.
All the characters are likeable and the drama does absolute justice to each story.
Though there was a point in the drama where I wanted to shake Mako really hard just to put some self respect in her.

Overall it is super emotional and really tugs your heartstrings in all sort of directions. I feel like a lot of people can relate to the show in one way or another, like i did, because it seems so real and believable.

Tit-Bits:

There are these narration or words in the beginning and end of the drama, which personally really touched my heart.
"Sometimes its good not to worry about love. Take a step back and look things over again. You'll fall in love again. Maybe a new love. May be an old love"
"Although love sometimes goes not as a planned, sometimes it also hurts"

(You can find all the quotes episode wise here )

 Music to my Ears:

Good background music and original soundtracks of a drama have a major role in making the drama or breaking the drama.
The music of this drama immediately made this drama awesome for me. I enjoyed the music of this drama as I enjoyed the drama.

Love Story <Amuro Namie (安室奈美惠)
 Full Music Video- here

Sit! Stay! Wait! Down! (Amuro Namie 安室奈美惠)
I just couldn't find any full videos for this song but a part of it is here

Then there is this Instrumental track which I love

私が恋愛できない理由/メインテーマ

Instrumental- Ballad Version

(Note- Its super hard to find the Original Soundtracks of this drama. I could barely find the instumental version.)

Final Word:

I would definitely recommend this drama. Its fun and definitely touches your heart. Its hard to find a drama that is both. Everyone can relate to this drama one way or the other. I found a pieces of myself in this drama. So just watch it and you would not regret it.

Drama Review : Love Through A Millennium

(The beginning stage)

I recently came across Love Through A Millennium/ Xiang Ai Chuan Suo Qian Nian.
Its a Chinese drama based on the the popular Korean Drama Queen In-Hyun's Man . You can read the Sypnosis here .
The drama has finished airing, but I'm still waiting for english subs on some episodes.

Drama Info:
  •  Language: Chinese
  • No of Episodes: 20
 Characters:
  • Jin Bo Ran as Gong Ming
  • Zheng Shuang as Lin Xiang Xiang
  • Evonne Xie as Jin Jing/Jing Jie
  • Sean Chen as Wang Mang
  • Denny Huang as Han Yu Fei
(Zheng Shuang as Lin Xiang Xiang)

(Jin Bo Ran as Gong Ming)

My Thoughts: The Beginning Stage

Here I would like to clarify that I wont be giving any recaps but rather my thoughts on the drama.
"The beginning stage" as stated in the title of the post means that I have just started to watch the drama (maybe 1 or 2 Episodes). So my thoughts/review are gonna be outright cold and honest. And maybe determine whether I'll continue to watch the drama or not.

I have to be honest here, I am not particularly a fan of Chinese Historical drama. Maybe the reason for it is that I cant speak or understand Chinese as much I can understand Korean. I guess I'm more into Modern Chinese dramas cause I definitely like a few.
But my reason to watch this drama is because I absolutely loved Queen In-Hyun's Man. So I thought why not give the Chinese version of the drama a try.
(I really like this cover picture of the drama)

The drama is similar to the korean version in terms of the feel of the drama. However if you have seen the korean version you start noticing the differences after few minutes into the very first episode. But I wouldn't want to see drama which which is an exact replica of the previous version. So when i say differences I mean in it a good way as well. I have to say some differences are subtle. Like the Talisman is not piece of cloth but a medallion.
But there are some which are kinda different. I found it significantly different that the girl who helps the main guy lead is kinda like a fighter, whereas in the korean version she was a gisaeng (similar to geisha). In this version she fights with the assassins to protect the empress, which is kinda new and I kinda like it.
Then there is the part where the assassins try to kill the main lead guy and he "sits down!!" and then he disappears because of the talisman. I mean who sits when you are getting killed by assassins.
The rest of the things are pretty similar to the korean version with obvious changes with change in the culture.

(When they meet for the first time)
(And Teleportation Lesson #1-Random teleportation can be very dangerous. You can up end up on the middle of the road)

Now lets talk about the flow. As I said earlier, the feel of the drama is quite similar to the korean version. However I cant say the same thing about the flow of the drama. The shifts of the shoots from historic to modern times is a bit rough on the eyes sometimes. ( I hope it gets better in the later episodes) I just wished it was more smooth.

Now lets go to the acting department. I am new to all the actors in this drama except for Evonne Lin whom I've seen in Tiny Times ( and I absolutely loved her). Its also Nana's (Kpop Girlgroup AfterSchool member) first Chinese production. So I cant really judge whether they are acting better or not so better. So I guess I have to wait and see further into the drama. Yayyy More things to look forward to. Wohoo!

My Final Words:
I'll continue to watch this drama, not only because its the version of a drama that I like, but cause I would love to see what new difference is gonna be in this one. I have to say this, but I guess I wont stop comparing the two dramas all the time. But for me thats the fun in watching this version. Looking forward to watching and enjoying it. ^^

ELLO HELLO - Introduction Post

Ello Hello JJang people.

Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. Well for this amazingly awesome virtual world I have decided to call myself "BlueMoonButterfly" . I know its long and just to long to say. But dont worry you'll get a hang of it soon.

For those of you who are new to Korean or K-culture ( and somehow landed on my blog)
짱/Jjang means Awesome. So its 짱Korean meaning Awesome Korean

Dont be mistaken for this blog being a Korean Language blog and I am in no way suggesting that my Korean is Awesome.
This Blog is gonna be about Anything and Everything that interests me about Korea, Korean Culture (or how I like to call it K-Culture), Kpop, K-Dramas, and some Chinese as well Japanese Drama and may more things.

Mostly I'm gonna give my thoughts on the song I liked ( or dint like), Dramas I liked ( Note: I'm a big fan of Romantic and Romantic Comedy, so my drama choices might not me that diverse; but I'm always up for suggestions) and  Hot Kpop News. I wont be giving you news but rather my opinion my that news/story.

And if you have a question in your mind that these kind of blogs exist everywhere. Well, my Jjang friends you have the right question in mind.
And the answer is that Yes, blogs like this definitely exist, but this blog is like a platform for me to express my thoughts about various things. So yes it might be a typical K-Blog but I'm gonna write it anyway.

I guess that should do if a post has "Introduction Post" in its title.
Hope you guys like my blog!

Bye~~~~~ ^^
